[Case Study of Problem Solving] Thick-Walled Molding Using Two-Color Molding

Two-color molding involves combining two different types of resin to form a single unit, which helps prevent shrinkage through double injection of the same resin. The customer in this case had the background of wanting thick-walled molding similar to glass containers, despite the high cost of glass containers. Our company proposed a solution using two-color molding, which allows for the layering of transparent resin to achieve a luxurious feel similar to glass containers, effectively addressing the disadvantage of thick-walled molding, which is "shrinkage," through two-color molding.
